Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hollowcandle.com and the HollowCandle trading terminal, alerts, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service is
HollowCandle is analytics and simulation software for crypto markets. It provides a paper-trading terminal with simulated execution on real market prices, price alerts, and portfolio analytics.
Optional live trading. If you connect your own exchange API key, the Service can execute real orders on your exchange account (currently Binance spot). This is optional, off by default, and non-custodial: we never hold, receive, or control your funds, and every order executes on your exchange account under your own API key. Keys are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and only a masked fingerprint is ever displayed. We refuse API keys with withdrawal permissions — create trading-only keys. You are solely responsible for your exchange account and API key security, for keeping the key's permissions restricted, and for all outcomes of real orders you place (fills, fees, slippage, and losses).
Not a broker or custodian. HollowCandle is not an exchange, broker-dealer, or custodian, and we never hold or custody your funds. Trading without a connected exchange key is paper trading — simulated fills against live market data with a fictional starting balance. Trading with a connected key sends your order to your exchange account via your API key — your instruction, your account, your funds.
2. No financial advice
Nothing in the Service is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any asset. Signals, analytics, and alert rules are informational tools. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions. Past performance — real or simulated — does not guarantee future results.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
- One person or entity may not operate multiple accounts to abuse free tiers.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Paid plans are billed through Whop, our payment provider, and renew automatically at the plan's stated price until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from your Whop account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled per Whop's policy — contact us and we will help where we can.
- Card data never touches our servers; it is collected inside Whop's PCI-compliant checkout.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or load-test the Service without permission;
- resell or sublicense access;
- use the Service for anything illegal, including market manipulation schemes;
- attempt to mine cryptocurrency on or through the Service;
- interfere with other users or circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or security controls.
6. Market data
Prices, charts, and market data are sourced from third parties (exchanges and TradingView), provided "as is", may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally wrong, and are not guaranteed. Do not rely on the terminal as your sole source of prices for real transactions.
7. Wallet & exchange connections
Connected wallets are read read-only. We never request signatures that move funds and never execute on-chain transactions. Connected exchange API keys (optional, for live trading) are stored encrypted, are refused if they allow withdrawals, are used only to place orders and read balances at your instruction, and can be revoked here at any time — revoking deletes the stored key.
8. Disclosures
HollowCandle is analytics software, not investment advice, not a broker, and does not handle funds. Default trading is paper trading — simulated execution on real market prices. Optional live trading executes real orders on your exchange account via your API key — non-custodial, encrypted at rest, withdrawal-capable keys refused; you are responsible for all real-order outcomes. Charts by TradingView. Wallet reads are read-only; no on-chain swaps are executed.
9. Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep the terminal stable, but uptime is not guaranteed and features may change as we develop.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or expose us or other users to legal risk.
11. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HollowCandle and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for trading losses — real or simulated — arising from use of the Service.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes we will announce them in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
